My 1st post-Murder...
Okay, I was at Country Fair, a gas station/store in my area, with my dad and I was walking passed the magizine rack when something caught my eye. That something was a headline on the cover of a magazine called Erie Life, the headline was "Why have 8 Western New York Women Vanished?".
considering I'm a Western NY woman, That's a good question.
Now, eight woman may not seem like much in context with current world events like that ongoing "Democratic Republic" of the Congo fiasco or in relations to big cites like NYC bur Western New York in this case means Chautauqua County. That's rural America, not like Appalachians rural but still, murder doesn't happen everyday.
Here's a bit of info on the crimes. Some idiot had ended the lives of....
Dec 6,1980, "Jane Doe" s body was found in a ditch on the east bound lane of the Southern Tier Express Wa along Rt 17. She had been shot several times.
Kathy Wilson,34, and a mother of 3, was found Sept 1988 in a wooded area along the side of Lindelll road near Lander Penn. Last seen at a Quality Market parking lot in Falocner NY. Kathy was reported missing when her abandoned van was found outside Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood, NY.
October 8,1990, 27 yr old Judith McHelaney was found shoy once execution style behind her left ear at a rest stop along rt 5 in Sheriden,Ny. Some report seeing her with a truck driver before she was murdered.
Rebecca Nicholson was found shot dead in her Westfield, NY home
January 20,1993 an on duty police officer found Melinda Juul shot to death by a .40 caliber hand gub at close range at Marion St near Foote Ave. in Jamestown,Ny. She was last seen alive at a Quality Market.
Lori Ceci Bova was last seen at her Lakewood home on NY Ave, before she disappeared after stepping out for a smoke. Many locals think it was "divorce by murder". To police however, she's still considered missing.
In September 2006 hunters found Yolanda Bindic,mother of 1, dead in a remote wooded area in the town of Charlotte. NY. She had been missing since Aug, 10,2004, when she checked out of the Family Dollar where she worked. in Sept of that year her purse,keys, and other items where found in Jamestown Ny.
Corrie Anderson,36, went missing after leaving Lakeshore County Dodge were she visited her boyfriend. She was reported missing sometime after not showing up to pick up her son on Oct,28,2008. Her van was found two days later in a remote area off Kortwright Road.
What they don't mention in the article was the the rape and subsequent murder of a young woman at "The Castle" a bar in the hills around my home town.
Kudos to the Jamestown Sheriff in trying to create a Cold Case unit and those who have volenteered to help him solve these crimes.
To the people who keep turning him down even when they have extra money... Prey you don't get murdered.
On a more personal note, omn my mothers insistence and with the help of an over six thousand dollar debt I'm dropping out of college. I should have been born French, I may not have a job or home but at least I would have free health care and college.
Aside from my GED, I don't think I've ever succeeded whenever I've tried to better myself, I don't know if I'm self sabotaging by aiming to high or I'm just stupid.
I also got to see a fawn upclose and personal at my grandma's house while i was weedinf and I got to meet Naanete, my cousin Riche's feance who'll be stuck with mt family 'til September. She's from the Phillipenes and is the only person I've met who'd discribe Stockton, NY as "big".

A lot to think about, all around...
I don't think that you are aiming to high or that you are stupid. You can carve your own way without following the same path of other "successful" people. I'm sure you will find yourself happier in the long run. You have the power to make your own future, meditate and find the way that is right for you...
