I've been studying on Asatru-u figuring I'd have to start somewhere and I've filled up half a note-book already. I'm working on finding my own copies of the Eddas, Beowulf, and at least some of the sagas off the net due to the fact I can't order online and the library would have to do an inter library loan and I don't thing they'll like me highlighting them. I'm probaly going to have to order from The BookNook.
I need to figure out the best translations for beginners like me so I'm open to suge…

Dear warrior.
Checking my E-mail and stumbled on Circle Sancuary's military care package drive. I decided to do something for our brothers and sisters who fight and die on the front lines. Until I figure out what that is I'll say this.:
Though I may not approve of our war I support you guys. I haven't a clue what your going through, never having smelled the gunpowder, sweat, blood, and other things I won't get into. Or having felt the fear and at times excitement and exhilration of battling with…

Smudging that is.
My first time smudging was completly spontanious. I was on the phone with Aliakai most of the day and then afterwords I was sitting out side reading the Idiots Guide to Celtic Wisdom when I just got the urge. I gathered my stuff and sat down and created a protective invocation partially based on St Patrick's "Lorica".
That was an experience unto it's self. I decided to write it and immedeately Set came to the for front of my mind. I began writing and I began to feel a strong b…

Woo!
My cousin Richie got married to Nannette on Aug 15. It was a great wedding. It started out slow, unsuprising as it was a catholic ceromony with a Phillipeno twist. Afterwords we ate and danced the night away. Even my parents danced and my dad wasn't even drunk! Okay, he was buzzed but other then that compleatly sober. The next day I was hurting in places I didn't know I had. ^.^
The next day was also the Austin Family reunion. My dad and I where the only people from my immedeate family that…

What is the first thing we eat with? Many will tell me the spoon or fork and I have to say you're wrong. Do you not eat with your eyes first? How delicately placed something is on a plate as opposed to just slapped on there like we usually do? How the sauce is placed gently on the plate near or underneath the brilliant looking piece of meat or vegetable you ordered? Like a musician manipulates sound to tell a story, a chef manipulates appetite through visual stimulation and taste. So yes, culina…

This past week I finally received my copy of
Wicca: A Guide For the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham. What surprises me is that I didn't pick up this book before. It pretty much lays down the barebones of Wiccan practice set for those who either choose or are relegated to practicing alone. Mine, of course, is by choice. It has helped me to build a foundation to my own Folk Wicca.
What is Folk Wicca? The simple definition is Wiccan faith with "shamanic" practice. Yes, I put that…

Greetings everyone it’s been awhile since I last blogged on here. I have had my surgery it is healing well. I will add a picture to the post to show everyone. I then went to the a lung specialist after I stopped breathing several times during surgery. And had my lungs x-rayed which showed a spot on my right lung. That account to more trips to a doctor an hour away one way. I had to have CT scan after the x-ray. When I returned to the doctor a week later he said he thought I had come in contact w…

Good evening everyone! It has been a long while since I posted anything of great importance on here. I do truly apologize and I am ever thankful for the return of the Pagan Teahouse. When it disappeared, I went through an equivalent of a withdrawal. I was forced to writing on *twitch...twitch* MySpace. Now that we are back, I have to say that all is right with the world again.
So back in July of last year, I went back to school to become a chef. I am still currently attending The Chef's Academy…

Okay, I was at Country Fair, a gas station/store in my area, with my dad and I was walking passed the magizine rack when something caught my eye. That something was a headline on the cover of a magazine called Erie Life, the headline was "Why have 8 Western New York Women Vanished?".
considering I'm a Western NY woman, That's a good question.
Now, eight woman may not seem like much in context with current world events like that ongoing "Democratic Republic" of the Congo fiasco or in relations to…

A DAD'S STORY
On July 22nd I was in route to Washington, DC for a business trip. It was all so very ordinary, until we landed in Denver for a plane change. As I collected my belongings from the overhead bin, an announcement was made for Mr. Lloyd Glenn to see the United Customer Service Representative immediately. I thought nothing of it until I reached the door to leave the plane and I heard a gentleman asking every male if he were Mr. Glenn. At this point I knew something was wrong and my hea…

I just completed another low-level scanning of the Pagan Tea House landscape (as it’s scattered out across the vast inch deep sea of the Internet, littered with our debris). I’m happy to report back that there are survivors. I’m sad to report that there aren’t many.
I visited the various chat rooms on IRC (Internet Relay Chat), and didn’t find any warm bodies. This seems to be a recurring theme. I’m beginning to wonder if chat is dead. What’s the point of 10 to 15 people being in a chat room or…

In this day and age we all walk different paths every day. But have you ever considered are you walking the correct path. Or just a path that is familiar to you. Are you too conformable with your path? Is there a path you want to walk but choose to walk by it because the current path has been smoothed by your feet having triode it so long and the other paths seem over grown and unsure? Given a choice to see other paths would go down them if your family and friends would not go down that path? We…

Most people now a days label me as a satnist, goth, emo, etc. I am who I am and no one can change that. All I am is a person living in a world full of discrimination and non accetence. You may call me what you like but that will not change a thing. All the troubles I've been through in the past will not mess with the presents. All I want is to be acceted and loved. BLESSED BE!!

So I've been given a months notice in work... Im not sure how to handle the news really. Feel like I should be strong for my family but really just want to crawl into a corner and cry. Of all times to be out of a job. My son, my partner, how do I provide for my son! We wont be able to survive on my partners wage so its necessary for me to work...
I've been looking online at jobs available. It all seems to be in the area I left 2 years ago. Residential care. While I enjoyed the work, I spent 10…
