Happy Samhain guys! I know that I haven't been keeping up with this like I should. I have a million things to do and I just don't have the energy to give this the attention that it diserves. So instead of typing out a ritural quickly this morning,...

What pops into my head when I see the Rider Deck magician is someone selling something. Commaning someone's attention to the things on his table. Giving the fool a heads up perhaps or convincing him to do something with them.

Oh look another post involving death

I've been studying on Asatru-u figuring I'd have to start somewhere and I've filled up half a note-book already. I'm working on finding my own copies of the Eddas, Beowulf, and at least some of the sagas off the net due to the fact I can't order online and the library would have to do an inter library loan and I don't thing they'll like me highlighting them. I'm probaly going to have to order from The BookNook.

I need to figure out the best translations for beginners like me so I'm open to suge… Continue

To our troops

Dear warrior.
Checking my E-mail and stumbled on Circle Sancuary's military care package drive. I decided to do something for our brothers and sisters who fight and die on the front lines. Until I figure out what that is I'll say this.:
Though I may not approve of our war I support you guys. I haven't a clue what your going through, never having smelled the gunpowder, sweat, blood, and other things I won't get into. Or having felt the fear and at times excitement and exhilration of battling with… Continue

My first time...

Smudging that is.
My first time smudging was completly spontanious. I was on the phone with Aliakai most of the day and then afterwords I was sitting out side reading the Idiots Guide to Celtic Wisdom when I just got the urge. I gathered my stuff and sat down and created a protective invocation partially based on St Patrick's "Lorica".

That was an experience unto it's self. I decided to write it and immedeately Set came to the for front of my mind. I began writing and I began to feel a strong b… Continue

Weddings and reunions

Woo!
My cousin Richie got married to Nannette on Aug 15. It was a great wedding. It started out slow, unsuprising as it was a catholic ceromony with a Phillipeno twist. Afterwords we ate and danced the night away. Even my parents danced and my dad wasn't even drunk! Okay, he was buzzed but other then that compleatly sober. The next day I was hurting in places I didn't know I had. ^.^
The next day was also the Austin Family reunion. My dad and I where the only people from my immedeate family that… Continue

The Culinary Artist - Part I

What is the first thing we eat with? Many will tell me the spoon or fork and I have to say you're wrong. Do you not eat with your eyes first? How delicately placed something is on a plate as opposed to just slapped on there like we usually do? How the sauce is placed gently on the plate near or underneath the brilliant looking piece of meat or vegetable you ordered? Like a musician manipulates sound to tell a story, a chef manipulates appetite through visual stimulation and taste. So yes, culina… Continue
